About the Tour

Welcome to our Stockholm Science tour!
Sweden has many scientists whose contributions have helped world development.

We will start the tour in Odenplan, in front of the Gustav Vasa Church. Then we will go to the observatory and we will explain the origin of the thermometer, designed by Anders Celsius. Then we will go down to the old universities, the Tegnerlunden park where we will tell you the stories of the most important writers, Strindberg and Lindgren.

We'll stop by the Branting Monument, and we'll talk a bit about social science. We will end in Nybroplan talking about Berzelii and Arrhenius, the great chemists, having been in Humlegården, admiring the great statue of Carl Von Linné.

About the Guide
Welcome to Rainbow Tours! We are a group of national and international students of Stockholm, who want to share this beautiful city with everyone. We all love and support the "Free Walking Tours" idea as we are students who enjoy traveling, and we want to go one step further: making the tours more friendly and personal, trying to connect with everyone, and to make the tours accesible for everyone. We try to have small groups on each tour, as we believe that more people on the tour makes it quite difficult to enjoy it at this level. Update on Covid-19. Following the measurements of the government, and considering health, the guide will keep the distance as much as possible, and cash free options are available for the tips. Book your tour because there are limited spots! And more guides will attend if necessary.

How to Find Guide
We will be in front of the stairs with our multicolored umbrella.
