About the Tour

ONLY FOR SMALL GROUPS, this walk (the same as the Initiation tour at 10.45 but made backwards) will lead you to the heart of the Renaissance in Florence: from the buildings and works of art visited to its atmosphere and life in 14th and 15th centuries. It is the best way to start your visit to the city, or to get to know the most important sites in the historic center so that you can spot those deserving a thorough visit in the near future. Ideal for getting your bearings and having fun!

Places visited during the walk:
1. Santa Maria Novella square and church.
2. Medici's Chapel, San Lorenzo church and Medici-Riccardi Palace.
3. St. John's Baptistery.
4. Duomo (Cathedral), Giotto's Bell tower.
5. Old Florentine Benedictine Abbey, Bargello Museum.
6. San Firenze square, Santa Croce square and church.
