About the Tour

Cities, like new people, come into our life when it's their time. Have you arrived in Bari or has Bari arrived at you? The labyrinth of the narrow streets of old Bari, scents, voices, colors of his life today and many centuries ago. What is the Bari metro? Why did its inhabitants build the theater on the sea? A Polish queen in the church most loved by the people of Bari? Saints on the walls? I'll tell you History and Stories.
Starting from Piazza del Ferrarese we will cross the old city through the intertwined streets, a view of the sea from via Venezia awaits us, the medieval basilica of San Nicola - the first canonical example of the Apulian Romanesque, and then again alleys, arches, courtyards, the Norman Swabian castle.
We will conclude the walk with a curious surprise :)

NB. This is not the classic free tour: it is a visit with a licensed guide, through a well-kept itinerary

About the Guide
Hi, I'm Lucia! I have been working as a guide for several years. I studied the History of Art and I have a great passion for my work. I like to see people discover new, perhaps unexpected things, and bring with them a small piece of the light of Puglia, "the light of my eyes", as Frederick II of Swabia called it.
