About the Tour

Hymettus Mountain is within sight of the city center of Athens. With its summit just above 1000 m and a plethora of marked trails among pine trees, it attracts visitors from all over Attica and beyond.

The tour starts from the north entrance of Hymettus next to the Aghios Ioannis monastery . In about 1.5 hours, the group climbs to the north peak with an elevation of 675 m. There is a spectacular view of all the metropolitan areas of Athens with the most interesting points of interest, such as the Acropolis, Lycabettus, Piraeus, the Olympic Stadium , the surrounding mountains, as well as East Attica with the airport and vineyards. On the way back, we will enter the Cueva de los Murcielagos where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful landscape with stalactites and stalagmites.

Are you in good physical condition to walk for 3 hours? Then don't wait!

About the Guide
I remember myself escaping to the nature since my early childhood. Visiting mountains, hills, rivers, lakes or just the city park has been my favorite. Hiking is a hobby which has taken me to the highest peaks of Greece. I also do trail running for the past three years. Having studied Business Administration, I balance work and hobbies in the best possible way.
